In order to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2017, the brass band « Ensemble de Cuivres Valaisan » (ECV) is organizing a brass band composition contest with very attractive awards (1st prize 3000 €). Composers will benefit of great freedom regarding the style of the submitted piece. It can be an introductory piece, a slow piece, a solo (one ore more soloists), a concert finale, a suite, entertainment music, or of any other genre or style that may inspire the composer, without any time restriction. The deadline for submissions will be November 1st 2016.
