Call for Scores: ISCM World New Music Days 2013

Please be aware that this call comes very soon after the call for the 2012 World Music Days in Belgium, therefore the six composers whose pieces have been submitted by CANZ for the 2012 ISCM WMDs are not eligible to submit works as part of the official CANZ submission to the 2013 WMDs. Please note also that as the call for scores for the 2014 festival (to be held in Poland) will close just six months after this, the composer of any work selected by CANZ for the 2013 submission will not be eligible to submit to CANZ for consideration for the 2014 submission.

The International Society of Contemporary Music World New Music Days 2013 will take place in Slovakia and Austria from 5-14 November 2013. As a member of the ISCM, CANZ will submit six works by CANZ members to be considered for performance at the festival.

You may submit up to 2 works to CANZ for consideration. You may also enter works as an individual directly to ISCM for consideration, however, this incurs an entry fee of 50 Euros. For further details about making individual submissions, see www.iscmwnmd2013.org
Only one work per composer can be submitted for each Festival, whether through the official or individual submissions.

Works must be composed in, or after, 2007. Categories: 1. Symphony Orchestra, 2. Ensemble, 3. Chamber Music, 4. Chamber Choir, 5. Student Ensemble (Veni Academy), 6. Music for Children, 7. Electronics, 8. Short Operas, 9. Installations. Please refer to the Festival website for specific details about each category, including the instrumentation and durations for each. www.iscmwnmd2013.org

Deadline: (to CANZ for consideration) 1st December 2011.

By Post: Two copies of the score, or two copies of the audio/video material of non-notated works, and a recording (audio or video) of the submitted work (if possible) to: Glenda Keam, ISCM Submission 2013, 3 Sylvan Valley Ave, Titirangi, Auckland 0604.
