The RIGA Professional Symphonic Band announces the International Composers’ Competition WINDSTREAM 2014 with the motto “Feel Bach, Continue Bach, Discuss with Bach”. The competition will take place in collaboration with the Riga 2014 Foundation – the organizer of the European Capital of Culture Year in Latvia.

The competition has no age, nationality or citizenship restrictions. According to the Competition Regulations the participants must submit their original compositions no later than on August 30th, 2013 (postmarked).

The competition consists of three rounds. The final round will take place on April 19th, 2014 at the Riga Great Guild Hall; the RIGA Professional Symphonic Band will give live performances of all compositions selected for the final round, judged by the competition jury. Altogether three prizes will be awarded.
