Composer/pianist Ross Carey has been selected to be part of the International Composing Womens’ Festival to be held in Beijing in April, 2008. This is a co-production between the International Alliance for Women in Music (IAWM) and the China Conservatory of Music (CCM) and features women (and the odd male) composers as well as students, musicologists, educators, performers and conductors. He will perform a concert of recent works for solo piano and is calling for scores from other New Zealand composers – women as well as men as the festival is also open to male composers and performers.
